Canada Visitor Visa (TRV) Support
Nobody will interview you for a Canadian visitor visa. An officer reads your file once and decides, so anything you would have explained in person has to already be written down.
A file decision, not a conversation
The temporary resident visa is assessed by an officer working through an online application and its attachments. They will not call you, and they will not ask for the document you forgot. If your bank statement shows a large deposit two weeks before you applied and nothing explains it, the unexplained deposit is what they see.
This changes what good preparation looks like. For the United States we rehearse answers; for Canada we write them down. The letter of explanation does the work the interview would have done, and it is the single most under-used document in the whole application.
What goes into the application
- The online IRCC application and the IMM 5257 form, with the family information forms that go alongside it.
- Biometrics — fingerprints and a photograph — given in person at a visa application centre after the biometrics instruction letter is issued.
- Proof of funds covering the trip, with the history behind the balance rather than a single closing figure.
- Evidence of ties to Pakistan: employment, business ownership, property, dependants, enrolment.
- An invitation letter where you are visiting family or friends, and the host's own status and means where they are supporting you.
- A travel itinerary consistent with the funds and the leave you have actually been granted.
Dual intent, and why honesty about it helps
Canada explicitly recognises dual intent: wanting to settle in Canada one day does not by itself disqualify you from visiting now. What matters is that you have shown you will comply with the terms of this visit. Applicants who try to erase every trace of a long-term interest in Canada often make their file look evasive instead of clean.
Where an applicant has a study or work application in progress, we address it directly in the letter rather than leaving the officer to discover it.
Common refusal grounds we work to close off
- Purpose of visit not established — the itinerary is generic or does not match the length of stay requested.
- Ties to home country judged insufficient, usually because employment or dependants were asserted but not evidenced.
- Personal assets and financial status — funds appear borrowed for the application rather than available.
- Travel history, where a first-time traveller has not been given any other reason to be trusted with the trip.
If a previous application was refused
Canadian refusals come with a letter of reasons, and you can request the officer's own notes from the file. Those notes are usually far more specific than the letter, and they are the right starting point for a second attempt. We read them before advising whether to reapply now, later, or differently.
